Privacy policy
What we do with the information you send us, and the choices you have.
This policy explains how Margate Removals handles the personal information you provide when you contact us or ask for a quote. We keep it short and plain because that is how it should be.
What we collect
When you use the quote or contact form we collect the details you enter: your name, phone number, email address, the pickup and drop-off addresses, an optional moving date and any notes. We do not ask for more than we need to quote and plan your move.
Why we collect it
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote.
- To arrange a survey and carry out your move if you go ahead.
- To keep a record of the work for accounting and any warranty or claim.
Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running the business.
Who sees it
Your details go to our team and to the service providers that help us operate — for example our form and email hosting, and our lead-handling system. They process the data only to provide those services. We never sell your information or pass it to unrelated third parties for marketing.
Analytics & spam protection
We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the site is used, and reCAPTCHA to protect the forms from spam, which is subject to Google's privacy policy and terms. These do not identify you personally to us.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details only as long as needed to deal with your move and to meet our legal and accounting obligations, after which they are securely deleted.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. To do any of these, email us at hello@margateremovals.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
